    Innjoo fire flash sale

Innjoo have officially launched their Innjoo Fire and Innjoo Max smartphones. The new super budget friendly devices were made official at a launch event held at Ikeja, Lagos state.

Though we were not on board to cover the launch, some good friends of ours over at mobileraft were chanced enough to make it to the launch and shared what they gathered from the event. So we’ll be sharing what we know so far.

    All About the Innjoo Fire

Innjoo’s latest device isn’t a flagship built smartphone, but it is definitely a device to be reckoned with. At the overly desired 5.0″ IPS screen-size with 178 degree wide angle, the Innjoo Fire has all you would think you can only see on a 30,000+ Naira smartphone, but you would be very wrong at the pricing. The new fire device would cost LESS than 20,000 Naira confirmed our friends at mobileraft. So, you’d better get your money ready if you’d be picking this super hot device.

    There’s the Design and Performance
The new Innjoo Fire’s design is best described as exquisite!. For a budget device, Innjoo really fit in a ton of work in seeing the new fire device take shape. The device back shell is protected by poly carbonate material (plastic) but should handle light scratches, falls and the likes. The device would come in four colors; classic black, elegant black, luxury gold and natural bamboo yellow.

The insides of device which make it what it is includes a Quad-Core CPU with clock-speed of 1.3GHz each, combined with a Mali-400 MP GPU for spot-on graphics when gaming or something. There’s also 2GB of RAM on board to make sure you don’t suffer any lags when working with the device, and 16GB of ROM to gather everything you need stored on your device. If the 16GB ain’t enough for you, you can opt to expand via a microSD up to 32GB.

Innjoo also made sure you won’t be bothered by selfies and portraits with dual 5MP cameras. i.e. 5MP rear and 5MP front shooter. The 5MP on the back is accompanied with a dual LED flash to capture pictures at night.

To cap it all, the Innjoo Fire has a 2500mAh battery which is pretty impressive. The Innjoo Max on the other hand has a 4,000mAh battery! The best thing we’ve gathered so far is that Innjoo Fire would premier on Jumia’s mobile week megathon coming up from 1st to 7th of June, and we hear you could be getting the device for as cheap as 16,000Naira but not upto 20,000Naira. So if you are up to fire your current smartphone, Innjoo’s latest device could be a replace. Don’t forget to checkout the other top brands coming along for the “biggest mobile sales” in Nigeria’s shopping history!

Finally, there’s talk of an Innjoo Fire Pro coming around August of this year, we hear it’s the first device from Innjoo that would tag along with Google’s Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. The Fire and Max devices are bothe Android 4.4 KitKat OS devices.

    MTN TruTalk+ A Maker-Over Of Etisalat EasyLife 4.0 (Details)

    Published by:

MTN Nigeria may be the only telecoms company ‘innovative’ enough to ‘promise’ you an Aeroplane, a set of choice houses valued at millions of Naira and more, but how innovative are the South Africa owned telecoms giant? Well, I guess not innovative enough to outsmart and out-compete competitors.

Recently, Etisalat Nigeria released what is considered the cheapest tariff plans for pre-paid customers, the Etisalat EasyLife 4.0 is a limited edition tariff plan which offers a call rate of about 11k/sec to call all networks in Nigeria, i.e 6 Naira 60Kobo per minute to make local calls not minding the network you are calling. Then there’s the other cool allowance of making international calls with just a service charge of 20k per second. i.e. 12 Naira per minute to call your favorite international destinations (UK landlines, US, China, India).

Though, there’s a tidbit of a catch, which is actually not so bad considering the options. The catch is simple, you will be charged N5 on a daily basis as access fee. The charge is made from the 1st voice call of the day. Still cool right?

If you are interested in the Etisalat EasyLife 4.0, you can migrate via the USSD codes below.

  • To migrate to the EasyLife 4.0, dial *420*1#. To confirm your migration to the package, dial *244*3#.
  • While Etisalat was still trying to get our attention with the EasyLife 4.0 tariff plan, MTN was busy remixing their TruTalk plan to have a look-a-like of the EasyLife 4.0 tariff plan. The result? MTN TruTalk+ (MTN TruTalk plus).

There’s really no much difference between the two plans, except in the international calling which is probably a bit more expensive than Etisalat’s.

Anyways,MTN TruTalk+ Tariff plan details are pretty much like the Etisalat Easylife 4.0 plan. MTN TruTalk+ offers a call rate of 11kobo per second, i.e, 6 Naira 60Kobo per minute on calls to all networks across Nigeria and 50% off international calls. Like the EasyLife 4.0 tariff plan, the TruTalk+ has a daily access fee of N5 which is triggered by the first call of the day.

Planning on migrating to MTN TruTalk+? Simple, follow the step below.

  • To Migrate to the new MTN TruTalk+ call tariff plan, simply dial *123*20# or send TP to 131.
  • P.P.S: MTN TruTalk+ and EasyLife 4.0 plans are better than the days of 20 Naira per minute call centers 😀

Use Latest kingRoot English Version To Root All Phones!

    Published by:

Rooting your phones just got a lot easier and smarter with the English version of the most popular Chinese rooting too – KingRoot. KingRoot supports rooting of any android device and Abdroid versions 2.2, 2.3, 4.0, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4, and even 5.0 Lollipop.

But first, what is rooting and why do you need it?

Rooting is the process of allowing users of smartphones, tablets and other devices running the Android mobile operating system to attain privileged control (known as root access) over various Android’s subsystems. As Android uses the Linux kernel, rooting an Android device gives similar access to administrative permissions as on Linux or any other Unix-like operating system such as FreeBSD or OS X.

Rooting is often performed with the goal of overcoming limitations that carriers and hardware manufacturers put on some devices. Thus, rooting gives the ability (or permission) to alter or replace system applications and settings, run specialized apps that require administrator-level permissions, or perform other operations that are otherwise inaccessible to a normal Android user. On Android, rooting can also facilitate the complete removal and replacement of the device’s operating system, usually with a more recent release of its current operating system. [Wikipedia].

P.S: Rooting your smartphone would void your device warranty!.

Now we know what rooting is, how do you root your device with KingRoot app which is considered the easiest way to root any Android device and is often described as a tool for “lazy people”.

Well, using KingRoot is dead simple. Just download the .apk file onto your device and run it. That’s literally all you’re being asked of.

Still not convinced? Watch the video tutorial below to root any Android device with KingRoot.

Though, there is no word yet if the price of all the various editions will be constant.

Another interesting fact we’ve found out also is the new firemax would pick a 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM to accompany it, so there’s also the choice of battery which we’ve heard is a moderate 2500mAh remove-able battery.

The Innjoo fire is going to be a Quad-core device, though the chip maker is still up in the wind though our money is on MediaTek, we got to know the device chipset would have a clock-speed of 1.3GHz on each of it’s four core CPUS.

The cameras on the fire are still masked, but we are expecting 5MP front facer for selfies and 8MP rear shooter with Dual LED-flash (The dual LED flash is confirmed though).

Every other little detail of the Innjo fire and max are still being kept under lock and keys, but the pricing… well, Innjoo asked fans how much they’d love the phone to be, and there’s a bunch of replies on the pricing, but we expect anything within the range of 25,000Naira – 35,000 Naira.

The launch date of the Innjoo Fire and Innjoo max is tomorrow, 21st May, so all the speculations would be ending in a bit. If you would love to pick up an innjoo fire and the unknown max as soon as they launch, your best bet is to keep a tab on Jumia.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Getting Firmware Updates

    Published by:

    samsung s6 firmware

Okay, Samsung is seeding out firmware updates to it’s flagship devices the Galaxy S6. GSMArena states that one of their European units has just received a small software update. The OTA has an Android version 5.0.2, which the device already received last month, but now comes with noticeable improvement to the phone’s performance.

As some of you might remember, a lot of Galaxy S6 users have been reporting some severe memory issues and drops in performance. Samsung recognized the problem and promised to remedy it in future micro updates. Judging from the improved stability and speed of the unit, we can fairly safely state that the memory leak was handled after the update.

The package itself has a build number of G920FXXU1AODG and weighs precisely 138.32 MB. Its change log is quite vague, so we can’t say for sure what improvements and fixes it brings, but, like we said, the Galaxy S6 is now a lot snappier.
