Samsung Galaxy O Model Devices Could Be Coming Soon

Published by:

Samsung Galaxy O5

Samsung mobile has literally used half of the English alphabets in naming their devices. From Galaxy A series down to Z series (A, E, J, K, S, V, Z) now it seems the giant mobile maker is planning to add alphabet O to it’s line-up.

While Samsung’s naming scheme tends not to actually follow an alphabetical arrangement order, Samsung flagships are listed under the S series – Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and the likes, next in line are the A series – Galaxy A5, Galaxy A7, and the likes, the lowest in the alphabetical naming scheme are the J – J3, J5, etc. There’s also the Z family, housing the Tizen devices. Other alphabets in their portfolio are the K series, which are a camera hybrid, the V seies which are entry-level smartphones, and a tablet with the alphabet W.

With the O series coming, we are curious were these new set of devices would fall under in the complicated Samsung hierarchy. We hear the said devices would be dubbed Galaxy O5 and Galaxy O7, but there’s no word out on the specs of the device, so we can’t categorically tell if we are looking at entry level devices or a new set of flagships.

IFA 2015 is coming up in a few weeks, so we might just be getting some official info about the two mysterious O devices from Sammy.

The latest released flagship phablet from the stable of Korean tech giant – Samsung, the Galaxy Note5 has started selling in Taiwan. Thus, Taiwan is the first country to get the newly launched device.

The reason for the decision to send the Galaxy Note5 first is according to reports, “the fact that the Note series has been a roaring success in the country”. The device pricing starts at 740USD for the 32GB variant, while the higher up memory 64GB variant costs around 820USD, although the latter won’t be available until the end of the ongoing month. So if you are a memory junkie, you’d have to wait for a few weeks

Samsung Galaxy Note5 would be going on sale in the US late next week on August 21. The device would hit Verizon and the pricing shelled out on contracts include; $32 per month for 24 months using Verizon’s installment plan, adding up to a total of $768 for the 32GB variant, while the 64GB version will increase to $864 upfront, or $36 per month spread over two years. Samsung Galaxy Note5 Finally Launched with 5.7″ and Exynos 7420 Chip

Published by:

Yesterday saw the official launch of Samsung’s most anticipated device Galaxy Note 5. The device launched in an event dubbed Samsung Unpacked, and along side it was the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+. Both devices are a revolutionary twist in mobile phablets with some great next-gen specs.

Samsung Galaxy Note5 features a 5.7″ Super AMOLED sleek display. The innards of the device includes Samsung’s in-house developed Exynos 7420 chipset, and packs a hefty 4GB of RAM, the storage on the Note5 is based on the fast UFS 2.0 standard. While it outruns regular eMMC 5.0 storage, data hoarders have been locked out of expanding the memory – the base model has 32GB, you can upgrade to 64GB and that’s it. There’s no room for expanding memory via a microSD slot, and no hefty 128GB option either.

Like storage options, you won’t be super happy with the battery of the Note5 as Samsung did a downgrade of the Note 4’s hefty 5500mAh, you now get a capacity of just 3,000mAh, and worse still, the battery of the Galaxy Note5 is not remove-able. It seems Sammy is counting on the modified Fast Charging of the device (both the wired and wireless) to compensate for the battery hiccups.

On the photographic side, the camera retains the Galaxy S6 shooters, i.e. a 16MP sensor behind a wide f/1.9 aperture, plus optical image stabilization and auto real-time HDR. It can record 2160p video or livestream 1080p to YouTube. For selfies you get a 5MP sensor and an f/1.9 aperture.

Samsung has updated the audio department with Ultra High Quality Audio, which promises “richer” sound. This feature will work over Bluetooth with new compatible Level On headphones.

The Galaxy Note5 checks wireless all boxes, but a highlight is Samsung Pay, which works over NFC or MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission). Pay will launch in the US in September so it will be ready when Note5s arrive in users’ hands.
he Samsung Galaxy Note5 will be available for pre-order today, coming in Black Sapphire, White Pearl, Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium.

If you are eyeing the new Samsung Galaxy Note5, then you don’t need to wait long. The device will be available in the US on August 21, with pre-orders starting today. You can go for a hands-on as soon as tomorrow in 7,000 locations across the US. Pricing will be announced by the carriers. For European buyers, there’s no Galaxy Note5 for you this year.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 5 phablet is just a week away from it’s official launch on 13th August, and so far, the leaks are getting to high heavens!.

The full specs sheet of the phablet has since been shown off in a benchmark, now we are feeding our eyes on the sleekness and beauty of the Note 5 in new photo leaks.

There’s really not much Samsung can add to what we already know about the Note 5. Anyways, let’s go into details of the specs.

The Note 5 is said to come with a spring-loaded slot for the S Pen, a regular USB port (no Type-C here, unfortunately), there’s 4GB of RAM, and 32 / 64 / 128GB of storage – no SD card slot though.

The battery will apparently be a 3,000 mAh non-removable cell, which is smaller than those in the Note 5’s predecessors – but something we’ve seen before with the Galaxy S6 sporting a smaller cell than the S5.

And speaking of the Galaxy S6, the Note 5 looks like a blown-up version of that, with the added curves to the rear glass – which may make it easier to handle.

In software, the TouchWiz version installed on the Note 5 will let you customize the Air Command menu, as you can see in the first set of images (where Instagram is part of the options). Air Command appears when you take the S Pen out of its hiding place inside the phone.

Other previously revealed specs are a 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED touchscreen, the Exynos 7420 SoC at the helm, a 16 MP main camera, and a 5 MP selfie unit. The Galaxy Note 5 will run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

Samsung Galaxy S2 9.7 is the latest high-end tablet from South Korean tech giant, and the new piece of tech aims to rival Apple’s iPad Air 2.

Featuring a glossy 9.7″ of Super AMOLED display, the Galaxy S2 9.7 is a remarkable tablet coming in both WIFI only and 3G/LTE variants. The device is super techie and has a finger print scanner on board as well. The scanner is located in the home button just as seen in the Galaxy S6 flagship.

The new tablet comes running Android 5.1 Lollipop with Samsung’s native TouchWiz customized user interface (UI). Dual-cameras are fitted on the S2 9.7, an 8MP rear shooter as it’s main camera and a 2.1MP selfie camera. The rear camera boasts to be able to capture ultra clear 4K videos.

Samsung is not known for half-baked devices, that’s why the S6 is still unarguably the best smartphone in the world right now. The tablet features an octa-core CPU, which is manipulated by the in-house developed Exynos 5433 processor. So, no doubt, there’s really not going to be room for lags and all. To power the device, there’s a 5870 mAh Battery capable of over 6 hours of battery life for fun, games and work.

Samsung Galaxy A8

Samsung’s next phone Galaxy A8 after passing through Chinese certification base TENAA and US mobile certification body FCC and getting it’s specs outted has a new hands-on video courtesy of TENAA.

The phablet sized device in the 3 mins video posted on YouTube shows-off the phones bezels, it’s metal chasis and the camera shooters. The 5.7″ Samsung Galaxy A8 is a pretty interesting Sammy device, in that this new A-comer is the slimmest of all Samsung devices at just 5.9mm (157.7mm x 76.7mm x 5.9mm).

The device features Samsung’s signature Super AMOLED display, the display seems to be identical to the one in the Galaxy Note 3 – sporting FullHD resolution and 386ppi density. Powering the device is Qualcomm’s popular mid-range chip – the Snapdragon 615. It is by no means beastly, but is perfectly capable with four Cortex A53 cores, clocked at 1.7 GHz and another four at 1.0 GHz. The chipset comes equipped with an Adreno 405 GPU and CAT4 LTE connectivity.

On the memory segment, there’s 2GB RAM and 16GB of onboard storage ROM. Thankfully, there is also a microSD card slot for adding extra space. The camera setup is comprised of a 16MP main shooter and a 5MP selfie one. The physical home button is also equipped a fingerprint sensor, as was previously rumored, although here it is referred to as a “biometric authentication system”. The whole thing is powered by a 3050 mAh battery and boots Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with Samsung’s own TouchWiz on top.

At the moment though, there is no telling what the asking price of the Samsung Galaxy A8 is or when it would be officially released.
