Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Gets Hands-On Pictures Revealed

Published by:

note 5

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 5 phablet is just a week away from it’s official launch on 13th August, and so far, the leaks are getting to high heavens!.

The full specs sheet of the phablet has since been shown off in a benchmark, now we are feeding our eyes on the sleekness and beauty of the Note 5 in new photo leaks.

There’s really not much Samsung can add to what we already know about the Note 5. Anyways, let’s go into details of the specs.

The Note 5 is said to come with a spring-loaded slot for the S Pen, a regular USB port (no Type-C here, unfortunately), there’s 4GB of RAM, and 32 / 64 / 128GB of storage – no SD card slot though.

The battery will apparently be a 3,000 mAh non-removable cell, which is smaller than those in the Note 5’s predecessors – but something we’ve seen before with the Galaxy S6 sporting a smaller cell than the S5.

And speaking of the Galaxy S6, the Note 5 looks like a blown-up version of that, with the added curves to the rear glass – which may make it easier to handle.

In software, the TouchWiz version installed on the Note 5 will let you customize the Air Command menu, as you can see in the first set of images (where Instagram is part of the options). Air Command appears when you take the S Pen out of its hiding place inside the phone.

Other previously revealed specs are a 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED touchscreen, the Exynos 7420 SoC at the helm, a 16 MP main camera, and a 5 MP selfie unit. The Galaxy Note 5 will run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

The new tablet comes running Android 5.1 Lollipop with Samsung’s native TouchWiz customized user interface (UI). Dual-cameras are fitted on the S2 9.7, an 8MP rear shooter as it’s main camera and a 2.1MP selfie camera. The rear camera boasts to be able to capture ultra clear 4K videos.

Samsung is not known for half-baked devices, that’s why the S6 is still unarguably the best smartphone in the world right now. Upcoming Nexus 5 Blasts Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge AnTuTu Scores

Published by:

nexus 5

Samsung is currently topping the AnTuTu benchmar score for the powerhouse device flagship of 2015, but according to a new AnTuTu result, upcoming Google Nexus 5 will out match Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge’s reign, topping the charts with a record high of 85k score on the bench-marking site, which is 20k more than the Sammy flagships and the in-house Exynos 7420 chipset.
Nexus 5 2015
The said Nexus 5 being made for Google could possibly be coming from two renowned manufacturers, LG and Huawei if rumours flying around is anything to go by.

Though currently, there’s no word yet on the specs of the device, the LG version of the Nexus 5 (2015) whose AnTuTu score surfaced indicates that the coming smartphone could be fitted with a next-gen Snapdragon 820.

Also, judging from the alleged score card, the device will once again be named the Nexus 5, well probably Nexus 5 (2015) to avoid confusion. Apparently, LG has decided to abandon the whole incremental naming approach, as was with the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5, which could indicate that the next phone will also have close to 5.0-inches of screen real estate. This will surely be a welcome sight for a lot of Android purists that simply found the 5.96-inch Nexus 6 too large.

Last but not least, AnTuTu has detected the Nexus 5 (2015) as a Full HD device. This is kind of odd, considering the current Nexus boasts 1440 x 2560 pixels. Perhaps Google thought QHD would be an overkill on the smaller screen of the new Nexus 5.

Samsung Galaxy A8 Hands-On Video Comes Online

Samsung Galaxy A8

Samsung’s next phone Galaxy A8 after passing through Chinese certification base TENAA and US mobile certification body FCC and getting it’s specs outted has a new hands-on video courtesy of TENAA.

The phablet sized device in the 3 mins video posted on YouTube shows-off the phones bezels, it’s metal chasis and the camera shooters. The 5.7″ Samsung Galaxy A8 is a pretty interesting Sammy device, in that this new A-comer is the slimmest of all Samsung devices at just 5.9mm (157.7mm x 76.7mm x 5.9mm).
Samsung Galaxy A8

The device features Samsung’s signature Super AMOLED display, the display seems to be identical to the one in the Galaxy Note 3 – sporting FullHD resolution and 386ppi density. Powering the device is Qualcomm’s popular mid-range chip – the Snapdragon 615. It is by no means beastly, but is perfectly capable with four Cortex A53 cores, clocked at 1.7 GHz and another four at 1.0 GHz. The chipset comes equipped with an Adreno 405 GPU and CAT4 LTE connectivity.

On the memory segment, there’s 2GB RAM and 16GB of onboard storage ROM. Thankfully, there is also a microSD card slot for adding extra space. The camera setup is comprised of a 16MP main shooter and a 5MP selfie one. The physical home button is also equipped a fingerprint sensor, as was previously rumored, although here it is referred to as a “biometric authentication system”. The whole thing is powered by a 3050 mAh battery and boots Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with Samsung’s own TouchWiz on top.

At the moment though, there is no telling what the asking price of the Samsung Galaxy A8 is or when it would be officially released.
