Samsung Galaxy J1 Gets Priced In Germany, Netherlands

Published by:

Samsung Galaxy J1 was announced months back, precisely in January as one of the most affordable Android devices (from the South Korean giant Samsung). According to Samsung, the device would come in two variants, a 3G model which is the one currently floating in Europe, and a 4G LTE-enabled variant of same device, but with better specs.

Samsung Galaxy J1 has already been previously launched in the Asian continent, and now Sammy thinks it’s time the J1 touches down in Europe.

In Europe, the Galaxy J1 smartphone would be hitting two countries first, the two markets are the Netherlands and Germany.

Pricing of the Galaxy J1 device would vary in the two regions, we hear. According to reports, Sammy has placed a €120 tag for the Samsung Galaxy J1 in the Netherlands, so you save €15 against the pricing for folks in Germany, which will cost you €135.

The Samsung Galaxy J1 on the specifications side is a fighter, with a 4.3″ WVGA display and runs on a dual-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 processor. The RAM of the device is just a miserly 512MB, while it’s ROM is 4GB which ofcourse can be expanded via a microSD.

The camera of the device is a 5Mega-Pixel shooter on the rear. There’s no visible camera in front for selfies.

The Galaxy J1 would run Android 4.4 KitKat OS with TouchWiz.

Jim’s Big Thing, Infinix Hot Note X551Now Out

Published by:

infinix hot note x551

Infinix in collaboration with MTN Nigeria and Jumia.com, have been promoting an unnamed device for some time now, with the device not getting any special detailing, except of course it was “Jim’s Big Thing” ;). Well, the device have been officially unveiled and it’s the latest low-range android device from Infinix mobility, dubbed Infinix Hot Note with model number X551.

Pre-order the Infinix Hot

The Infinix Hot Note is actually, the revamped bigger bro of the Infinix hot, and has a bigger 5.5″ touchscreen with a pixel density of 267ppi and boasts HD capabilities with resolutions of 720 x 1280.
The overall bulk of the infinix hot note is slightly heavy with weight of 188g, though the thinness is pecked at 8.9mm, making it no where near the world’s slimmest but somewhat a fair device in breadth.
infinix hot note x551
On the photographic side, we see a 2MP front snapper for selfies and I wonder why Infinix did not run with the big thing slogan and fit in better selfie piece, but that’s by the way. The rear camera of the device is adorned with an 8MP shooter. The device camera has a ton of features to help filter and manipulate your picturesw if need be, and not forgetting, there’s an LED flash just in case you need to take that night picture.

Hot Note Octa-core meh

No longer news that the hottest devices these days run octa-core processors, well, infinix don’t want to be left out and so, we get a mediatek MT6592 chipset which of course isn’t the biggest chipset out there, plus it’s on a 32-bit architecture, but then again, the chipset is pretty much known to do “big things” like easy multi-tasking, energy efficint manager. E.t.c

The memory factor of Jim’s Big thing – Infinix hot note are not really the best we’ve seen but they’ll pass for a not so pricey device, that is. The infinix hot note x551 has a 1GB RAM and a pretty interesting 16GB ROM. There’s also spacing for a microSD on the device, so you can fit a bigger memory card, up to 64GB that is.

The best part of the infinix hot note x551 is it’s battery. The battery is 4,000mAh Li-Po battery which Infinix boasts would be boosted to 75% in a 50minutes charge, but that is yet to be tested, however.

Pricing of the infinix hot note according to it’s pre-order page is a pecked at 23,500. This is a fairly good buy if you ask me as the device would give ‘various’ flagships a run for their money on it’s capabilities.

You can pre-order the infinix hot x551 on Jumia via this link and enjoy the added benefit of 2GB+ free data from MTN Nigeria. Why don’t you Buy now? Jumia | Konga

So let’s take a peek at devices which are killing off competition based on AnTuTu scores and other criterias (In NO particular other, you decide which is best for you).

    ASUS Zenfone 2
    Asus Zenfone 2
This beast is the first device to come with a 4GB of RAM, and is 2015 favourite at the moment. ASUS put much work into the device to make it stand out from the crowd. The Zenfone 2 boasts to support quick charge which can boost the battery charge to up to 60% in 30minutes (the battery power / capacity is 3,000mAh). The device supports dual cameras (5MP for selfies and 13MP on the rear). Not forgetting it’s Android 5.0 Lollipop based with ASUS ZenUI on board. The Zenfone 2 is a quad-core device.

    Apple iPhone 6
    Apple iPhone 6
Apple’s flagship device the iPhone 6 landed and of course it was a hit like most Apple iPhones, and even saw the Cupertino based tech giant dethrone South Korea’s Samsung in profits coming from sales of the iPhone 6 and it’s big brother the iPhone 6 Plus. Apple’s iPhone 6 is built on a 64-bit architecture, Apple’s A8 processor on board and iOS 8 as well. The iPhone 6 is 4.7″ and features Apple’s Apple PAy which is currently trending in the NFC world.

    Samsung Galaxy S6
    samsung galaxy s6
Samsung’s Galaxy S6 is currently among the hot topics in the tech and smartphones world, with news that the next-gen flagship device might come tagging along a 4GB RAM . Samsung Galaxy S6 is still going to be a beast whenever it launches, probably around March. So far, there’s different speculations about the device, so we’ll just leave the device alone till we see what’s up.

    Xiaomi Mi Note PRO
    Xiaomi Mi Note Pro
Chinese OEM giant Xiaomi put in a ton of work in making this beast something to reckon with. The Xiaomi Mi Note Pro is one heck of mad device. Featuring 5.7″ making it a worthy phablet, the device has a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM, not forgetting it’s based on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 chipset.

The tech behind this piece of gadget is just on a different level. Though the battery is non-removable if that matters to you.

    OnePlus One
    oneplus one
It’s 2015 yeah I know, we should be looking forward to the OnePlus two not the OnePlus One anymore right? True, but the OnePlus One is a rather fascinating device which can still / is still a flagship killer. Launched in 2014 with the Flagship killer tagline, the OnePlus One features a 5.5-inch, full HD display. You’ll find a fast Snapdragon 801 processor running Cyanogen Mod software, which enhances Android with more customization and security options. The OnePlus One battery life is simply out of this world too, with at least 13-hours of battery life on continous usage, the OnePlus is and still will be forever remembered as the flagship killer.
