Apple Might Be Planning Car Production But Say 2020

Published by:

Apple, could be planning on adding iCar to it’s portfolio of “i”s if the reports we are hearing is anything to go by (which folks are insisting is pretty concrete).

So the Cupertino power tech company might be planning to start it’s own line of cars but we hear it’s pretty far-off still, say sometime around 2020 (that’s five 5 years from now).

Apple’s iCar was recently in the news following stories that Apple is entangled in a lawsuit over ‘stealing’ employees from an electric car manufacturer called A123.

The gist is that A123 is accusing the Cupertino based tech giant of unlawfully recruiting senior engineers to build its own battery division over at Cupertino. Battery experts from LG, Samsung, Panasonic and Toshiba were also allegedly contacted by Apple (serious business). That’s adding to the 50 Tesla employees currently on Apple’s pay roll all working on the iCar, including former Mercedes-Benz R&D boss Johann Jungwirth.

What we don’t know at the moment is if Apple actually go through with the idea of creating cars. The five years stretch is something that can make one decide other-wise, so will the Cupertion based giant have a change of heart?

Well, it certainly has the money to do it. Last quarter it posted a world record profit of $18 billion, so we doubt money is an issue. Plus with Apple already having its CarPlay platform in many vehicles, Cupertino definitely has the right connections to get going.

Mortal Kombat X : Predator, Colonel Al Dillon Could Be Playable Characters In New DLC

Published by:

Mortal Komabat X is coming soon, that’s for sure say sometime around April so we got a few more months to wait but before then, MK fan-boys are super-interested in hints that the next-generation series of the hugely popular video game would feature Predator (yes, you remember Predator) and comic villain Spawn as playable characters.

The major gists is coming from VideoGamer’s unnamed source, who says “the DLC pack will include the sci-fi villain and Colonel Al Dillon, the CIA agent killed in the original movie. Carl Weathers, the actor who played Dillon, has allegedly offered his likeness for use in the game, too.”

Though currently, Warner Bros is yet to debunk or make a clear announcement for DLC plans for Mortal Kombat X. However, in July last year, creative director Ed Boon retweeted an image (pictured above) of Predator superimposed onto the Mortal Kombat X key art, along with the words “Oh snap!!”.

Moving on to Spawn; the comic book anti-hero’s creator has revealed that developer NetherRealm Studios has a deal in place to include him if they wish.

Todd McFarlane revealed to GamerFitNation that he has made a ‘short deal’ to allow the character to be added to Mortal Kombat X.

“It’s up to their discretion. I gave them a window of time, so I’ll just leave it to them to do what it is that they want,” he said.

“Eventually, they’ll phone me and they’ll go, ‘Hey, we want to use him here. Is that OK?’ Well, technically, it’s OK because we’ve already said yes. They just are letting us know.”

While it sounds far from concrete, we hope the folks behind the new game seal the deal. Predator and Spawn fighting the likes of Sub-Zero and Liu Kang is a dream come true for MK fanboys.

2011’s Mortal Kombat also featured guest characters from other universes, including God of War’s Kratos and Nightmare On Elm Street’s Freddie Krueger.

Mortal Kombat X launches on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on April 14th.

There’s very much a new Ascend coming soon from the stable of Huawei. The device which will probably be called Huawei Ascend P8 was shown off in pictures, though the device was wearing a case so we can’t decode it’s sleekness.

Aside from the devices’ live picture shown off, we also got to see a trio of AnTuTu screenshots captured from the device which so far confirm specs of the device.

The AnTuTu details of the Ascend P8 includes the fact that Huawei fit in it’s Kirin 930 64-bit chipset which would run in sync with an octa-core CPU.

The Ascend P8 would come bearing 3GB of RAM and probably 16GB/32GB of ROM which should be expandable via the use of a microSD.

On the photographic side, we see an 8MP camera in front which would support selfies and video calls, there’s also a 13MP camera on the rear as it’s main
camera.

Huawei Ascend P8 is hinted to run Google’s Android 5.0 Lollipop upon booting and ofcourse, we are expecting the upgrade to 5.1 would roll to it (it would support OTA-update).

Finally, there’s an AnTuTu score of 47,426 from a screenshot available. This mighty benchmark score puts the performance of the Huawei Ascend P8 in the same level as the recent high-end smartphones released.

Huawei Ascend P8 is expected to debut in April. Its rumored price tag is roughly $480 not bad for promising device, right?.
